Ubisoft announces Far Cry 5, Assassin's Creed, and The Crew 2

Ubisoft on Tuesday released their annual earnings report, which included a few nuggets of information about their 2017 and 2018 fiscal year game releases. Most of the information is expected, but official confirmation is still official confirmation.

First up, there's a new mainline Assassin's Creed (rumored to be titled Assassin's Creed Origins) for the first time in two years, and if rumors are true, this entry will take place in ancient Egypt. Hopefully the two year hiatus can reverse some AC fatigue and mix up the well-worn formula in new ways.

The Crew, 2014's lackluster open world racing game is getting as sequel in the creatively named The Crew 2.

Far Cry 5, rumored to be set in Montana, is the latest entry in the long-running series, following 2016's Far Cry Primal.

Finally, Ubisoft reiterated that South Park: Fractured But Whole is indeed coming sometime in 2017, after it was delayed out of December, 2016.

Information about all four releases will likely be coming next month at E3. Ubisoft is scheduled to hold their conference on Monday, June 12th.
