Nintendo announced on Wednesday that the Switch was best selling console in the US for April, and revealed some impressive sales numbers for Mario Kart 8 Deluxe.
The Nintendo Switch sold an impressive 280,000 units in April, making it the best selling console of the month for the second time in a row. It should be noted that these sales figures come as Nintendo struggles to meet demand, and it's likely the number would be much higher if consoles were in ample supply.
Likewise, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe topped the best selling games of the month with 550,000 copies, even though it was only on sale for two days-- an impressive feat. The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild came in third on the list, showing that the game is consistently being purchased by new Switch owners. As Nintendo catches up with demand, that number will continue to rise.
