During their E3 press conference, Microsoft showed off a trailer for a new 3-on-3 Dragonball Z fighting game, creatively titled Dragonball Fighter Z.
The game looks to be mostly 2D, but features some 3D aspects during transitions and special moves. Describing the game as fast-paced would be an understatement– the speed of attacks, projectiles, and explosions was blistering.
It’s remarkable how closely the cell-shaded visuals match the look of the animated series, and the speed of the game only added to the illusion.
Dragonball Fighter Z will be released in early 2018, though it doesn’t appear to be an Xbox One exclusive.
