Hell has officially frozen over and pigs are flying, because Epic Games on Thursday announced that Fortnite would enter early access on July 25– nearly six years after the game was first announced.
Fortnite, which combines Left 4 Dead-style gameplay with base-building mechanics, has undergone numerous changes throughout its development process, missed a public beta in 2015, and has gone almost unmentioned in the time since.
